How is the index calculated?
The index starts at 100 and accumulates the daily change of each currency against the 15 others, using a geometric mean of pairwise exchange-rate moves. Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank and other official sources and are updated every trading day. The real index additionally adjusts each currency for its domestic CPI inflation.
